This channel is mostly about ArmA 3 mission editing but there is some gameplay and Tactical Gamer University stuff as well.
When I got started making missions there wasn't a lot of tutorials around in 2010. PCLiPSE got me started and since then there have been a lot of help from TG and now PracticallyRealGaming.com regulars. More recently h8ermaker and pickinthatbanjo have been resources as well. This is my attempt to pay it back.

Reforger - PRG Combat Ops Day One (or how we learned to use the radio)
We decided to spin up the new Reforger scenario Combat Ops for Everon on the PracticallyRealGaming.com Reforger Server on Sunday (July 7 2024).
We had many players join us and even some were playing from console! So cool.
Soon we had nearly a full 16 slots and needed to break up into teams to split up radio clutter. Thanks to everyone and their patience we began to get a groove going that we will build future team work from!

Wicks and Rudolf join me for some developing play on the PRG Reforger server. We are learning the Conflict game mode and adding a few mods to the server at this point on Fri 21 of June 2024. What is great is playing with players that are taking their good skills into a casual game where we are learning the new mechanics with a good chance to chew the fat and catch up. I probably cut out the fat ;)

So in trying to catch up to Warlab, my un-exceptional driving skills get to a hilarious ending. This clearly goes into the "Casual" file from "Casual tactics in action by mature players". However, the mature part is questionable from my part ;)

This is an old video from our TacticalGamer.com days where we had Tactical Gamer University which was a group of players dedicated to creating content to better inform our player base how to utilize tactics and strategies from the individual context all the way through leadership concerns. This script will give a player a score for flying low and fast in a helicopter. I realized while editing that it may have some multiplayer issues but I'll post as is. When I test and fix in multiplayer I might re-upload this video with a new version (fixing the audio while I'm flying) and post the script, or just add a companion video with the fixes.

what would I need to change for the opposing team for OpFor ? just put in OpFor or do I need to change other lines of the scripts ?.

How do i use mod faction for Spawn AI module?
I've done the exact same but i only have BLUFOR moving to the sector. OPFOR (or any other) isn't moving. any idea why?

Good stuff, Unk. The macer wouldn't lock because it needs a heat signature. You targeted the laser, and the macer can't lock on that. Only use the laser if you are using bombs or if you are lasing for a buddy with a weapon that needs a laser

Hey guys keep in mind this is a bit outdated now, when it comes to finding names for scripts just right click on the object(s) or entitie(s) and simply click it and hit "log", then click "Log Class To Clipboard" it'll help you save a lot of time. :)

Awesome tutorial and thank you for sharing it!! In the unit's ini I just used "this" vice naming it, ie - "[this, supportmodule] call bis_fnc_addSupportLink;" and it worked.

Are you still responding to comments? because ive been having issues trying to get JIP to work. everytime someone joins midgame the loadouts get all jumbled and people seem to get another loadout

so if i understand correctly youll need one "spawn ai" module for the hole mission and then a few "spawn ai spawnpoint" moduls per sector? and how do i deactivate those spawn once i conquert the sector? or is it ment to work like putting down a few spawns for each side and then let the units move to the sectors from there?

i Try to make this for friendly west unit spawners but they keep shooting me. On the create group line ive got - newgroup = createGroup [west,true];
Late answer but for those having an error related to waypoints or not valid area, ensure you use the gamelogic 'LocationArea_F' to link your sector, any other will throw an error.
Do it work with mods?
Is it possible to spawn alongside the infantry men vehicles ? I tried to add the name of a vehicle to the "_unitsInGroup" line and a few other things, but so far no succses. btw charming and relaxing voice
This is so helpful, thanks! I'm trying to figure out how I can adapt this to be a little bit more dynamic. Like also generating markers for the AI to spawn on instead of placing them in the editor beforehand.
This video is outdated. The point of the respawn menu is to show players what gear they'll be getting, and this method does not accurately represent the actual loadout you'll get. The respawn section on the BI wiki explains how to get custom loadouts and roles to work propperly. Granted its a bit more time consuming since you cant just import the loadout straight from the arsenal, but it's a simpler method overall. Edit: Control+Shift+C will export the loadout with the propper format!

Ok, i was able to do it, just follow the basic one(not the vehicle), all excess items will automatically be put into unit’s backpack and this video is outdated it doesn’t work anymore.
How do you do this with custom units/jets/heli???????
Idk why but when i enter the game my character change the optic to normal one red dot sight. Even though i respawned with DMS.

I've followed everything that you've done but when the ai spawns, they just stand around and dont go for the sector. I need help
in multiplayer a player save my inventory :/ I use um trigger area to out... Example... when out the base shows hint "Inventory saved" But save the my on 500m of base
